CAIN!! Today you graduated from the 2nd grade....wow...i have to let that sink in. I am so, so, so proud of you! Even though I tried so hard to be a "good sport" as you received 5 awards in class today I am sure that the smile on my face couldn't have gotten any bigger. I'm so proud of your academic achievements in Reading the most AR books and having the highest grade point average in your class. Smart like your Daddy!! However, I am equally as proud of the Good Citizenship award because it means that Ms. Gregory recognizes the kindness and compassion in you that I know that you have always had. God made you special in that way. You have one of the most kind, beautiful souls that I have ever seen. Your compassion towards others is a gift! I am also proud of the Super Singer award that you got b/c that shows that you are random and silly like your mama! ;-) Just knowing that you randomly burst out in song during the day makes my heart happy! I'm just not sure that all of your teachers will find that as award worthy as Ms. Gregory...we'll have to pray about that one. You are growing so fast. I don't feel like you should be headed to the 3rd grade. I feel like it was just a month ago that I was taking you to your first day at Pre-K. Just remember that no matter what happens, you will always be my baby boy, though you quickly outgrew my lap, you will never out grow my heart! I love you, Cainpole!
